- The following morning, Steve joins the children in the dining area - Graxen and Steve hug in an excruciatingly awkward exchange - Cedric bumbles into the kitchen, disrepectfully - taking over Mog's duties - Mog is very displeased - Cedric claims to be lactose intolerent - Mog is upset by Cedric, handing his hat to Ellette - Steve confronts Cedric in the kitchen - Cedric agrees to bake Mog an apology pie - Moggie re-enters the kitchen, asking that Cedric leave - Moggie attempts to stab Cedric, then demands that he leave - We pack up after breakfast, and head out towards the corpse hole - The hole has been excavated, with a number of discarded goblin body parts around it. We hear the cries of a small creature - We find one of the Deep Goblins among the corpses - Steve speaks to the Deep Goblin in its native language. It mentions a boney snake within the hole - also claiming to be the sole survivor. He saw the creature combine some of the limbs with its body - The creature made a new tunnel while following the Goblins. It killed Gerry with a gee - The creature has four eyes and all were glowing green - It has two heads sometimes and sometimes one - The Goblin thinks there may be survivors in their tunnels - The Goblin agrees to spend the day in the Goblin district while we attempt to deal with the tunnel creature - We descend into the pit - There are scattered bones all around - Kyo senses a necrotic presence echoing through the tunnels - The party splits to descend two seperate tunnels, reuniting in a large chamber at the end. The floor is littered with even more bones - Steve, Graxen and Kyo - Ellette, Cedric and Astryx - The ground feels almost too thin to Steve - Kyo finds pouches of gold (200GP) along with various nick nacks and tools among the dead - Astryx summons an earth Elemental and commands it to dig among the bones - Kyo's Divine Sense begins to trouble him - The creature bursts from the ground, attacking the Elemental and dragging it below. A circle of bones swirls, enclosing behind it - Cedric suggests using a 300ft length of rope with a hook attached, luring the worm to eat it so we can follow the rope and find its lair - We throw three Goblin arms and legs into the chamber, with the hook amongst them - Steve uses Minor Illusion to make the sound of Goblins over the body parts, while Cedric uses Illusionary Instrument - Steve's tremor sense kicks in as the worm bursts from the ground and grabs the Goblin remains. The rope snaps in the process - Kyo throws holy water at the creature while Astryx shoots a Guiding Bolt at it - The Guiding Bolt misses, but the holy water strikes it - causing it to screech and tunnel towards Graxen, Steve and Kyo - Cedric casts Illusionary Instrument again in an attempt to lure the worm back to its original spot - Ellette suggest uses Vortex Warp to trap the creature in a summoned series of rooms, before closing the entrance behind it - Kyo hits the creature with two shots of Bane, attempting to hinder its effects to resist Ellette's plan - The creature barrells through the door, with Steve closing behind it. It remains trapped inside - Graxen finds a small, handmade wicker doll - Cedric, Graxen and Kyo descend deeper into the caverns while Steve, Ellette and Astryx leave - In a chamber further below, the boys find a chest - Cedric shoots at the chest with Finger Guns, but the spell bounces back and hits him - The metal of the chest is a dull white colour - Kyo recalls having encountered a similar metal in the past - The three together manage to lift the chest out of the hole, carrying it back to the keep - The girls have cocktails in Quinten's tavern - Ellette drinks one of Fizzle's potions - She is converted to her Spring disposition - Ellette, Steve and Astryx have a number of drinks together - The boys head for Kyo's room, attempting to store the chest safely - The children run towards the chest, with the boys scrambling to deter them as the chest causes lightning damage to any who approach. - Kyo casts Protection from Lightning on Cedric and Graxen - allowing them to carry the chest - We arrive in Kyo's room - storing the chest inside and locking the door behind us - Steve approaches Fizzle, trying to convince him to give her some potions - Fizzle offers her three potions - Pink, brown and an irredescent one - He charges five GP but Steve offers him twenty - Astryx transforms into a hyena with a giant fake penis - jumping onto a table to cause a commotion - Bob approaches her, with Ellette turning invisible. She enters the cellar and pours all of Fizzle's potions into the barrels attached to the taps above - Ellette uses Alter Self to transform into Graxen. Steve and Astryx wait outside Graxen and Nissa's house while Ellette enters - Steve and Astryx (who is now a rat) fumble into Steve's house - disturbing Big Guy as he is baking a pie - Ellette kicks the door of Graxen's house open, waking Vastion. Nissa runs to soothe him - She storms towards Ellette in a rage, slapping him - Ellette does not respond as Nissa questions her, she takes a dagger to the best linens - ripping them to shreds - Ellette giggles and runs out the door, charging towards Steve's house - Nissa bursts into the house - finding Steve, Big Guy, Ellette (who has now dropped her Graxen disguise) and a rat - Nissa violently confronts Graxen - with both he and Kyo attempting to convince her that Graxen was not responsible - Nissa notices the change in Ellette's disposition, realising she is likely responsible - Ellette pours milk over most of Cedric's personal effects - including every other shoe - There is a sudden scream from Quinten's bar - Ellette, Steve, Astryx and Cedric head to the tavern - finding a human man with a severely disfigured face and one eye. He screams in pain, begging for help - Cedric attempts to help, but the person bellows about not being human - The human identifies himself as Bob. Ellette admits that it was Fizzle's potions that have changed him - Bob shambles away, struggling to walk - The tavern door opens, with Quinten sending people home. An extremely handsome figure emerges, wearing a loincloth and a tiny blue hat. - This is Fizzle, who reveals he can now read and wishes to find himself a wife - Other people leave the tavern in various shades of colour and with numerous deformities. One person has a zebra's head - The three girls break into Kyo's room by climbing up Karrat's tree. They find the chest taken from the corpse pit - As they approach, they are each zapped by its magical defenses - They spread catnip and lavender around the room - Steve falls from the tree as they climb back down - breaking her nose and knocking out a tooth - Astryx restores both with Greater Restoration - Ellette sits with Berethor, drinking whiskey and telling him about her shenanigans -
