A researcher within the <b>Symposium of Integration</b>, her creator believed that immortality could be achieved without resorting to lichdom, undeath, or the corruption of the soul. Through years of experimentation, combining intricate spellcraft with unconventional methods of preserving life, the scholar sought to create a living being that could endure indefinitely without surrendering its humanity. Tristitia was the culmination of that research, a remarkable creation whose very existence challenged the boundaries between life, magic, and mortality.</p> <p>Although initially regarded as the greatest achievement of her creator's work, Tristitia was never treated as a mere experiment. Her creator encouraged her curiosity, taught her to understand the world around her, and helped her develop a sense of identity beyond the circumstances of her creation. Yet even her creator did not fully understand everything about the body they had fashioned. Questions remained concerning its capabilities, its limitations, and whether the life bestowed upon Tristitia could truly endure the passage of time. Together, they sought answers, unaware that their discoveries had attracted the attention of others within the Symposium.</p> <p>Among those interested in the research was a high-ranking member of the organisation who recognised the extraordinary power and influence such a discovery could bring. Determined to claim the achievement as his own, he arranged the murder of Tristitia's creator and seized the research, intending to continue the experiments under his own authority. Tristitia, whose existence represented the most significant result of those experiments, became an obstacle to his ambitions. With the person she trusted most dead and the organisation that had once sheltered her no longer safe, she was forced to flee before she too could fall into his hands.</p> <p>Alone for the first time, Tristitia found herself struggling to understand both the world and the extraordinary nature of her own existence. Her creator had left behind more questions than answers, and without their guidance, she was forced to discover the capabilities of her body through experience. Injuries, exhaustion, the passage of time, and the strange sensations that accompanied her existence became subjects of constant fascination and concern. She knew that she had been created in pursuit of immortality, but whether her creator had truly succeeded remained uncertain. The fear that something within her might eventually fail was matched only by the possibility that she might outlive everyone she would ever come to know.</p> <p>As the years passed, grief gradually hardened into determination. Tristitia came to believe that the death of her creator was not merely an act of jealousy, but a calculated betrayal committed by someone who valued power and recognition above the lives of others. She began gathering information about the Symposium of Integration, following rumours of its activities and seeking traces of the research stolen from her creator. Each discovery offered another fragment of the truth, though her pursuit was complicated by the organisation's secrecy and the considerable influence of the individual responsible.</p> <p>Now Tristitia travels the Realms with two ambitions that have become inseparable. She seeks to understand the body she inhabits and the purpose for which she was created, hoping to recover the knowledge that died with her creator. At the same time, she remains determined to find the man responsible for that death and ensure that he answers for his betrayal.
