The group reach an open area that has a nest just off the path. They are attacked by slaying fire monsters. Not wyverns. They struggle to get a good hit on them steve is picked up and flown into the air, VV thinks it's a good idea to firebolt the creature, they injure Steve instead. They are killed by a combination of Qwimbys guns and ellettes spells. Zara finds a small creature in the nest, it looks almost like am armodillo. Ash and VV want to get rid of it. Zara protests. VV casts banishment, Elletter counters. Another argument breaks out and the group returns to town. We reach Qwincys Tavern, Ellette heads in to advise him of the update. Outside Zara and Graxen try to get the young creature to eat. In an effort to do this they began digging through the earth for worms eating them to show the little one how to eat. This was as weird as it sounds. Inside the tavern Qwincy informs Ellette and Qwimby of a village a few days away from Alexandria, they normally send trade but there has been no news from them in a few months. Qwincy asks Sordia Vignti to find out what is happening with the village. The team load up their cart and head on their way. As the team approach the village they come across a man, he is a cheery sort. He offers the team some muffins, they are so nice Ellette turns Spring when she tastes them. In a cheerier mood they ask about the village, and the missing merchant. The man claims to have never met him and he's lived in the village all his life. Unsure, the team press on. They enter the village, it seems busy enough. the towns folk are busying themselves in daily life. The team go to the tavern and sort out accommodation for the trip. They hear constant talking about the local bakers pies, and how fantastic they are. They are offered more and more but the team don't seem sure about it all. Steve and graxen go out to look around. They come across a windmill. Ellette approaches them quietly from behind making herself invisible. She picks up a nearby apple and throws it at Graxen, spooked he turns and starts to blame Steve. Ellette then throws one at Steve, she quickly begins to blame the building. The square up to the building. Ellette approaches behind Graxen and blows a gentle breeze at the back of his neck. This startles Graxen completely. The duo become convinced it's a haunted house and start to attack it and the 'Ghosts' inside. They completely destroy the building. What's left of inside seems to have been abandoned a some time ago. But the contents seem to be of a family home. Qwimby questions a local about the residents of this house. They tell the team no one has ever lived in that house. Ellette slips back into the group not indicating anything about being the cause of this disaster. The team begin to investigate the rubble. The find a hatch leading to a basement. The go down and find a room full of of pieces of bodies. Blood writing covering the walls. There's a number of coffins made from a strange material, some sort of cursed metal. The team gather what they can to study later. They find a hidden door built into the back wall of the room. Going through leads to a small tunnel and then a ladder to another room. This room traps them seemingly haunted, unseen entities keep them trapped, eyes and teeth start to litter the walls. Ash with his cleric abilities manages to banish them and Steve bursts through the door. They emerge to what looks like the bakery. They split up looking for clues to what links it all. Ellette goes upstairs to the living quarters of the bakery. As she's looking around she finds a box, strange runes lining it. She opens the box and it explodes in her face burning part of her hair. Pissed off Ellette immediately shifts from Spring to Summer. The others find very little in the bakery. Ellette storms down ordering everyone out. Steve and Graxen continue looking for something. Without looking Ellette begins to cast a spell. Steve and Graxen panic trying to get out, Steve falls swinging her hammer and hitting Graxen knocking him out. Ellette lets out a spell of fire, combining with the flour in the air causes a great explosion blowing Steve and Graxen out of the building. Steve's legs and Graxen's arm are severely damaged. Ellette calms down, shocked by the events. The team quickly pick up the duo and move them to a safe location. Ash works on stabilising them but their limbs are too damaged. Ellette and VV craft prosthetics for them. Legs fashioned from some metal and wood for Steve. An arm made from the strange metal for Graxen. Once all is finished the team settle down and rest for the night.
